Matsumoto Castle is Japan’s oldest existing castle and one of the premier historic castles. It also known as the “Crow Castle) because its black walls and roofs looked like spreading wings. Same as all other castles, it was constructed by wood and stone, but different is Matsumoto Castle was build on plains rather than on a hill or mountain. It is also unique for having both a secondary donjon and a turret adjoined to its main keep.

The time when I got there, the cherry blossom is ending. However I still can see flowers here and there when I walked around.
